Apache Pulsar: A Foundation Backbone for Clever Cloud

As a Cloud Service Provider, Clever Cloud makes heavy use of messaging in its core architecture. Initially using other messaging solutions, we faced a number of different challenges. Then we discovered Apache Pulsar, which held the promise to solve these challenges. This session will dive into the adoption of Apache Pulsar at Clever Cloud, including how we worked with StreamNative to develop KoP (Kafka on Pulsar), and how we're using Apache Pulsar as the foundation for our cloud backbone.

Quentin Adam is the CEO of Clever Cloud: an IT automation company, running a Platform as a Service allowing you to run Java, Scala, Ruby, Node.js, PHP, Python or Go applications, with auto scaling and auto healing features. This position allows him to study lots of applications, code, practice, and extract some talks and advises. Regular speaker at various tech conferences, he’s focused on helping developers to deliver good applications quickly and happily.
