Benchmarking Pulsar vs. Kafka on AWS: Process & Results

Pulsar and Kafka are the most concerned two systems in the streaming area, the performance of the two systems is often discussed. We are also curious that how the two systems will perform under the same hardware environment. So, our team spent a lot of time to complete the test work on AWS. I hope to take this opportunity to share with you the results of the benchmark, how to start your benchmark, and the problems we encountered in the benchmark test.
The test result contains the write throughput, tailing read throughput, catchup read throughput, publish latency, and end-to-end latency of these two systems.
