When the Energy Internet meets Apache Pulsar

Energy Internet Research Institute(EIRI) of Tsinghua University is committed to the research of cutting-edge technologies and the industrial development in the field of “energy internet” under the support of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University. Our group is working on an event-based time-series data processing platform. This platform attempts to address diverse businesses in the energy internet and IoT area with a unified event processing framework.
In this talk, I will introduce why we adopted Apache Pulsar as the MQ middleware of our platform, and the benefits we got from Apache Pulsar and Pulsar Functions. As an individual, I will also share some personal experiences gained from the Apache Pulsar community.

Rui Fu

Rui Fu joined Tsinghua University Energy Internet Research Institute in 2016, as a platform developer. He received his B.S in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from The University of Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom, and M.Phil in Innovative Technologies Leadership (Internet of Things) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2015 under the supervision of Professor Lei CHEN. At Tsinghua University Internet Research Institute, he is working on build the IoT platform.
