CTO, StreamNative

Matteo Merli is the PMC Chair of Apache Pulsar and CTO at StreamNative. He is co-creator of Pulsar while at Yahoo!, co-founder of Streamlio, Committer and PMC of Apache Pulsar and Apache BookKeeper. He works for The Apache Software Foundation for 4+ years, and has rich experience in distributed pub-sub messaging platform.

Sanjeev Kulkarni

Dreaming about Streaming, Splunk

Sanjeev Kulkarni works on the streaming product at Splunk. He came to Splunk via their acquisition of Streamlio where he was the co-founder. At Streamlio, he was building next generation real time processing engines. Before Streamlio, he was the technical lead for real-time analytics at Twitter where he co-created Twitter Heron. Before that, we was at Locomatix where he handled their engineering stack. Before that he worked in the Adsense team at Google leading several initiatives. He has a MS. in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Sijie Guo

Co-Founder and CEO, StreamNative

Sijie Guo is the co-founder and CEO of StreamNative, VP of Apache BookKeeper, and PMC Member of Apache Pulsar. Before StreamNative, he was one of the co-founders of Streamlio. Before Streamlio, he was the tech lead for the messaging group at Twitter, where he co-created Apache DistributedLog and Twitter EventBus. Prior to Twitter, he worked on push notification infrastructure at Yahoo.

Joe Francis

Joe is an experienced manager in building and running high-performing engineering teams. He has a track record of developing large scale cloud services from scratch, deploying them to production and scaling them up to Internet level traffic at Yahoo. He is technically strong in large scale distributed systems. He also had a startup career at Asempra (acquired by Dell) in CDP for SQL server databases, and worked on distributed database, transactions & recovery at Sybase.
